UK Newfoundlands Info is a non-commerical site maintained by Paul and Alison Dodd. It is completely free for everyone to use and to contribute to and there is zero advertising, no 'pop-ups' and no hidden agenda. Being completely new to Newfoundlands we did our 'research' before deciding that a newfie was right for us and in the process collected a large amount of data (from publicly available sources) on bloodlines and show results.

Over a period of two years since we first launched the site, we have extended our database to include much more information and functionality which is now being extended to UK Working Test results (this is a working breed, after all!). This site is our way of sharing that data and our enthusiasm for the breed with other newfie owners, breeders, exhibitors and enthusiasts. We hope you enjoy it and find it useful.

	An alphabetical listing of Affixes in the breed, names, locations and links to web sites, if known. As yet VERY incomplete so extra info or corrections gratefully received.

Additions and Amendments
We are keen to add new photographs, dogs and critiques so if owners, breeders or judges are able to contribute those, we'd be delighted to hear from you. Health information is really important so details of hips, elbows, hearts and cystinuria status is appreciated. Should you spot any incomplete or incorrect information, please let us know so that we can put it right. You can email us at Paul@Dodd.co.uk.

The site will be updated regularly, particularly with show results/critiques, and we have plans to add extra features and functions, as time permits. We hope you'll visit again.

UK Newfoundland Breed Club Sites

The Newfoundland Club is the original UK Breed Club and one of the oldest Breed Clubs in the world. Their web site is the place to go on the Internet for information and advice. We found it incredibly helpful in understanding the breed, potential health issues and not just the showing but working possibilities and opportunities with this wonderful breed.

The Northern Newfoundland Club of Great Britain hold a breed Championship show and an Open show each year and working and draught tests at various locations through the year. Their web site is first class and highly informative with some super photographs.

Formed in 2008, the Southern Newfoundland Club hold an Open Show in December each year and organise water and draught tests, health seminars and other breed activities. Now recongnised by the Kennel Club as an official UK Breed Club, membership is growing and the club is going from strength to strength. They have a regularly updated web site which has some super photographs and is well worth exploring.

The Scottish Newfoundland Club, originally formed in 1993, have relaunched their website. It has news, contacts and Event information for newfie owners North of the Border though it will appeal to newfie enthusiast from everywhere with it's range of information and a growing picture gallery.

The Newfoundland Club of Ireland have relocated their website and it is now in the process of being rebuilt.

Newly formed, the Emerald Isle Newfoundland Club is for pet owners as well as show owners for All-Ireland. The Club aims to do Draught work, Water work and organise Newfie fun events as well as a show.
